Uchiwa(Fixed & Flat fans)

Uchiwa, a fixed fan is not a foldable fan. The paper used is not pleated. It uses a flat paper. As it is not fordable, special care is needed to protect painted surface. Further, much more larger space is needed to carry a fixed fan, Uchiwa. However, since a leaf is flat and not pleated, a painter can apply more flexible design as well as painting method and paint. Actually even an oil painting is possible, whereas an oil painting is not acceptable for a folding fan because a fan leaf is pleated and folded.
